Nikki Alvarez
Ordinary Aiming for Extraordinary

I loved working with children, but I’ve always enjoyed working with technology and supporting others. I have experienced various occupational positions in my professional career such as peer counselling, researcher, content creator, clerical support, child care assistant, receptionist, and currently an employment facilitator with goals that may change everything later on. My personal and professional experiences have taught me the following about myself:

• I enjoy problem-solving, resolving, and managing conflict.
• I speak simply and professionally.
• I seek collaboration for win-win situations.

I educate, refine and develop myself to be a better person.

• I am constantly learning in an ever changing world.
• I stay calm when faced with new challenges.
• I focus on making rational and/or logical decisions.
• I am not my mental health diagnoses and I will do what I can to fight the stigma around the topic.

I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives. These days, I have an interest in art and photography.
